My Gort model from The Day The Earth Stood Still

Geo-Metric made a 1/24 scale solid resin figure kit of Gort, the giant robot from the
Science Fiction classic, The Day The Earth Stood Still. I had this kit laying around
my house for ages when I finally decided to do something with it. But instead of
just posing him alone on a stand, I decided to put a pair of soldiers with him.

The soldiers are a pair of 1/35 scale figures from Dragon.
They're actually World War II era Marines, but I chose them because they they suited
the era I was looking for (early 1950s). And their small scale really makes Gort
look all the more imposing. I used static grass from Woodland Scenics on the base,
to simulate the park lawn where Gort has his confrontation with the soldiers.
