I bought one of those Jurassic Park Styrene Raptor kits off of Ebay recently. I happened to have a pair of 1/24th scale resin female figures. I thought it would be a cool idea to give one of the raptors his own little rider.

The rider is actually two female figures that have been kit-bashed together. I used the torso from one figure and secured it to the legs from another. Her outfit, such as it is, was made from Apoxie sculpt.

I built the Raptor, then added the saddle, reins, and other gear (the bags and bedroll) by sculpting them out of Apoxie Sculpt. The base is made from a strip of balsa wood. I used "grass" and a bit of "gravel" from Woodland Scenics to give the ground some character. The girl almost has a thoughtful, pensive look on her face. Maybe she's wondering if her steed needs to be fed--and if so, who would make a good meal for it. :-)
