My Hunchback Of Notre Dame Diorama
By Sean Farrell
Geo-Metric made a 1/24 scale solid resin figure kit of Quasimodo, the hunchedback
bell-ringer of Notre Dame. I decided to give Quasimodo his own little diorama.
Using a wooden base, I covered it with balsa wood planks, creating a wooden floor.
I gave the floor a wash of light brown, which darkened it while still maintaining
its wood look.

I had a pair of wooden barrels that I bought from a crafts store, and I made a
crate from glueing more balsa wood planks onto a small wooden cube. These items
kept the base from looking too empty, plus they also add some atmosphere. The
figure was painted with three shades of green, along with a black wash and
fleshtone hightlights on his face.
